FELDENKRAIS® MOVEMENT INSTITUTE proudly offers Feldenkrais Method® workshops and seminars focusing on a variety of dynamic topics. These classes are generally open to anyone interested in learning the Feldenkrais Method® and are designed to inspire as much they educate.

Physical therapists, massage therapists, dancers, musicians, singers, actors, athletes and trainers have discovered remarkable effectiveness through the Feldenkrais® workshops.

People suffering from chronic pain, postural stress or repetitive strain have also learned to find relief. Plus, thousands of health practitioners have enhanced their knowledge with this unique approach to learning through movement.

Learn through movement and touch to:

  • Free yourself from unconscious movement habits that are painful and effortful.
  • Develop the skills to move with dexterity, power and grace.
  • Expand your knowledge of the human body with evolutionary anatomy.

The Evolution of Motion
OneTaste, San Francisco, CA
Taught by Dr. Frank Wildman

Our most personal capacities to move, feel and think are related to hidden evolutionary mechanisms. Through exploratory movement laboratories we will discover how human motion and human awareness arose together through both persistent environmental pressures and rapidly increasing choices in sexual selection. This daylong distillation is a synthesis of a program designed for Feldenkrais trainings as well as for audiences involved in the arts or sciences. Newcomers to the Feldenkrais method may find it an interesting introduction to the breadth and depth of the method. This program promises to make abstract ideas a very moving experience OPEN TO PUBLIC, TRAINEES, AND PRACTITIONERS

Body Brain

Your Brain as the Core of Strength and Stability
Advanced Training, Eugene, & Portland Oregon
Taught by Dr. Frank Wildman

Whether you participate in strength training, dance, Pilates, yoga or martial arts or you just want to move with more ease and stability, this workshop will teach you how to identify, feel and use the core muscles far beyond any movement modality in existence today. This training contains Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) lessons, and shows how they can be used hands-on. You can learn to affect the organization that underlies movements most people associate with great strength, flexibility, natural talents or hard to achieve abilities. You will learn ATM® strategies and techniques that can directly influence people involved in Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, and Pilates.
